JR's take: Carol and Brandon De Wilde turn in excellent performances as a pregnant teen and her angst-ridden boyfriend. Quite a good little film; rather innocent despite the subject matter — although daring for its day. The outcome of the film is considerably different (read: whitewashed) from that of the original play, in which Carol starred.
Recurring names: Sam Buffington, the doctor in Blue Denim, is George Owens in The Light in the Forest. Warren Berlinger would appear with Carol again in The Four Deuces.
