JR's take: In this sequel to the much-better Peyton Place, Carol takes over as Alison McKenzie, who has scandalized her friends and neighbors with her expose of small-town bed-hopping. This time around, Alison sets out to conquer the Big Apple — and her much-older publisher, Jeff Chandler. The cast is good, and there's a certain chemistry between Carol and the ever-handsome Chandler, but the movie never goes anywhere.
